This app is amazing. It caters for all levels of French and unlike other apps it makes sure that the vocabulary is in your long term memory not just your short term memory. You wont be disappointed it is an absolute gold mine of information.

The teaching technique they use is memorization and it doesnt work

I used Mosa Lingua last summer to supplement a beginning French reading course I was taking, and it was so helpful. Learning jokes and phrases, for instance, gave me a feel for the language that sheer vocabulary or even very basic sentences could not provide. It gave me something I could "instinctively" reference when I later learned grammatical rules. "Oh! Thats like how in this proverb they say..." Plus, it was fun to learn jokes and such and to build my vocabulary. Then a couple weeks ago I re-downloaded the app to see if it might help me learn some conversational French ahead of my trip to Montréal, and it definitely did! I ordered my breakfast in French, greeted people in French, picked up my reservations in French. Plus, I didnt realize how easily the vocabulary I learned last summer would return to me. I have found MosaLinguas SRS to be effective, their interface easy, and their program enjoyable to use. I believe in the product so much that Im downloading the Spanish version now :)

This app makes learning French very approachable ! Short sessions ( like under 5 min) get you going. Option for more activities allows for longer sessions. Use this app at least twice a day- Every Day: it works! Its fascinating. Wonderful "bonus pages" convey interesting tips about How the language learning process functions in the brain. I highly recommend this app !

Helps keep you motivated by reminding you when to practice.

Great app for learning French! You are able to customize level and phrases/words. The only thing is that it doesnt have a microphone option so you can repeat and get feedback.

I like the convenience of having short lessons that include, listening, English to French memorization, spelling and a self evaluation to mark the words you want to come up again in the lesson. Each mini lesson takes less than 5-10 minutes (and I pronounce and listen over and over). I just started this app today and Im looking forward to see how I progress!

Goes way beyond vocabulary - includes useful phrases, interesting trivia about the language/region, provides advice, and tracks your progress. This is the only app that keeps me motivated to continue improving, and really learning the language. Love this app!!!

I have used only the French version and I love it! It gives realistic situations and conversations that you encounter while traveling in France and is exactly what I needed. The best part is how you hear the proper way to say the words with a native speaker. A must for anyone traveling to France or wanting to learn the language. A great value for the price! Highly recommend!

I am loving this app. I suppose only time will tell how effective it is but I love the way it is set up with gentle reminders and applicable bonuses. So many apps have badges and other rewards in place but they arent helpful outside of just feeling accomplished. This one unlocks great travel tips and learning advise. Its the best Ive tried. I love the 5 minutes per day. So easy!

I use this app to brush up on my French. I like that you see the spelling of the word and hear the pronunciation and the addition of the writing and visual feature reinforces the content for every style of learner. It really works, Im getting to the point in the review sessions where Im actually thinking in French. I highly recommend this app.

Better than anything Ive tried.

Its really good at helping you to remember the words long term.

There seems to be a lot of features and buttons, but it would seem the end result of this learning process would be quite limited for use in the real world. First off, you hear a word and then you record yourself repeating it. It might sound the same to someone who doesnt speak the language being taught, but there are subtle nuances to every language; altering the pronunciation of a word might change its meaning entirely and only a teacher can evaluate how youre pronouncing something and tell you if its right or wrong. Second, learning a bunch of words can be somewhat helpful, but dont expect to have fluent conversations without knowing how to convert words into sentences. Youd wind up sounding like the French equivalent of "Me see cat today morning drink water." Essentially youll get your point across, but in the process, youll sound as if youre missing a few chromosomes.

I have always had problems trying to pronounce French words and this is not only teaching me to speak better but also to learn much more of the language. I am very please with the progress I have been making and my only criticism is that sometimes the speaker is difficult to understand with the recording. There are times when the recording is not quite clear but it is easy enough to go to the section " progress" and listen to a different speaker pronounce the words. This seems like a very good system and I am looking forward to continuing my progress.
